Fortune Garment

Fortune Garment is located at No. 4 Lakshmi Nagar Samundipuram. It is a busy spot on the Main Road here in West Samundipuram. Most days are spent with the stitching and checking whatever fabric comes in. It gets pretty loud with all the machines running, but that is just how it is. Sometimes the power goes out and everyone has to wait a bit before things get moving again. The workers have been here a long time and we all know each other's families. Mostly, we deal with cotton. It is dusty work. A lot of time goes into looking at the threads and making sure the needles are sharp. The building isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where the work gets done. There is a tea stall down the road where most of us go for a break. We started small and stayed here because it's convenient for the transport trucks. They pull up right on the main road and we load things up. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Sometimes staying late is necessary to finish a batch. The neighbors in Lakshmi Nagar are used to the noise by now. Since we don't do much advertising, people just find us by word of mouth or see the sign when they pass by West Samundipuram. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation.
