Eden Garments

Eden Garments is over at Sf No. 443 on Ab Nagar 1st Street. We fall under the Gandhi Nagar Post area. The street is relatively quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice for us while we’re trying to concentrate on the sewing. It’s a basic building with enough room for our equipment and the fabric rolls we keep on hand. We usually have the radio playing low in the background, though you can’t hear it much once all the machines are running. Most of the people here have been working together for years. We just show up, have our tea, and get to the tasks at hand. There’s a lot of cutting and measuring that goes on every morning. The space can get a little cramped when we have a lot of finished goods waiting to be picked up, but we make it work. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights outside. It’s just a door on 1st Street. If you’re coming from Gandhi Nagar, you just have to look for the Ab Nagar turnoff. The place feels like a second home to most of us because we spend so much time here. It’s a simple setup, and we prefer it that way. No one here is trying to be corporate; we’re just a bunch of people making clothes and making sure the orders go out when they should. It is just the way we have always done things.
