You can find Eastman Exports at No. 5/591 Sri Lakshmi Nagar in Pitchampalayam Pudur. It’s a bit out of the main city center, which is nice because it’s a little quieter. We have a decent-sized space here for all the packing and shipping we do. The driveway is usually full of boxes waiting to go out. We’ve been here long enough that the local delivery drivers don't even need to look at the map anymore. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves and a few desks tucked into the corners. We don’t have air conditioning in the warehouse area, so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. Fans are always blowing, though they mostly just move the warm air around. The team here is small. We’ve worked together for years, so we don't really need to talk much to know what needs doing. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool. By the time the sun is high, we’re usually halfway through the day’s list. Pitchampalayam Pudur is a decent area to work in. It feels more like a neighborhood than a business district. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog comes by looking for scraps. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to get the orders packed correctly and sent off on time. It's a simple life at Sri Lakshmi Nagar, and that suits us just fine.
