Jayshree Tea & Industreisl Limited ( A B.K.Birla Group)

Living and working up here in Valparai is a different kind of life. Our place is at 8/401 in the Co Operative Colony. If you have ever been to this part of the world, you know it is all about the tea. The air is always a bit damp and smells like green leaves. We are part of the B.K. Birla Group, but on the ground here, it feels more like a small community. The colony is quiet and everyone knows each other’s business. We spend our days dealing with the logistics of the tea industry. Sometimes the mist is so thick you can’t see the road, and everything slows down. The office is an old building with thick walls that stay cool even when the sun is out. We have a lot of old ledgers and paperwork because some things are still done the old-fashioned way. We drink a lot of tea, obviously. It’s the best way to stay warm when the rain starts pouring down for days. The roads around here are winding and full of potholes, so getting anything delivered takes longer than you’d think. We don’t have much in the way of city entertainment, but we like the pace of things. It is a lot of hard work in the fields and in the office, but it’s what we know. We just keep the tea moving.
