You can find us right at Korlagunta Junction on the Tirumala By-Pass Road. Sri Lakshmi Sri Nivasa Travels is mostly about getting people where they need to go, especially with so many visitors heading up the hill. The office is right where the road gets busy, so there’s always noise from the passing buses. We spend a lot of time on the phone booking seats or talking to drivers about their routes. It’s a lot of logistics, making sure the vehicles are clean and the fuel tanks are full. Sometimes a driver calls in sick, and we have to scramble to find a replacement. It’s part of the job. Most of the people who walk in are looking for a reliable way to get across town or up to the temple. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a few chairs and a desk covered in logs. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the afternoon. We’ve seen the By-Pass road change a lot over the years, but the travelers stay the same. They just want to reach their destination without any trouble. We try to keep the schedules simple and the prices fair. It’s not a complicated business, just a lot of coordination and keeping track of keys. Some days the rain makes everything a bit slower, but we stay open and keep the engines running. Sometimes we share a meal in the back when the traffic finally thins out after dark.
