Vasantham Flower Shop

People usually find us easily because we're right across from the VOC Ground in Palayamkottai. It’s a busy spot on Trivandram Road. My name is here on the sign at No 106 B in the Gilgal Complex. We spend most of our mornings dealing with fresh arrivals. It’s a lot of work getting everything ready before the sun gets too high. The shop isn't huge, but it fits what we need. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially during events at the ground, but we don't mind much. We mostly just focus on the garlands and the loose flowers people need for their daily routines. It's a family-run kind of thing here in Tirunelveli. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some days are packed, especially during the wedding season or festivals, and other days are just quiet. We usually have a few buckets out front so people can see what’s fresh today. It's dusty on the road sometimes, so we're always cleaning the stems and the floor. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us when they need something for a temple visit or a home function. Being near the complex makes it convenient for folks running errands. We try to keep things simple and just make sure the flowers aren't wilting in the heat. That's pretty much what goes on here at Vasantham Flower Shop every day from early morning until we close up for the night.
