Rani Frameworks

Rani Frameworks is located at 409, Main Road in Veyanoor. It’s a straightforward shop where we spend our time measuring wood and cutting glass. The workshop is always covered in a bit of sawdust and there are scraps of frame molding everywhere. We aren't some big factory; it's just a few of us working with our hands. People bring in photos, old paintings, or even certificates they want to hang up. We sit down with them at the table, look at the colors, and see what looks okay. Sometimes we get really busy and there are frames stacked up against the wall waiting to be picked up. Veyanoor is a quiet enough place, but being on the Main Road means we get people stopping by while they’re out doing their errands. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of the space is taken up by the saws and the assembly table. We’ve been doing this for a while now, so we’ve got the hang of it. It’s nice to see the finished piece when it’s all put together. We don't do fancy marketing or anything. We just put the sign out front and wait for people to come in with their projects. It’s a good way to spend the day, working on things that people care about. I usually have a pencil behind my ear that I can never find when I actually need it. The floor in Veyanoor gets tracked with mud when it’s wet out, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the entrance.
