We’ve been here at B-4 Industrial Estate in Pettai for quite some time now. Dealing with metal isn't always pretty work, but it's what we know. Most days you’ll find us busy with the machines or moving stock around. The shed is usually loud and there's a lot of heat when we're running at full capacity. We started small, just a few people trying to make things work, and we’ve mostly stayed that way. It’s hard work, getting the metal shaped right and making sure nothing gets wasted. Pettai is a busy area, lots of other workshops around us doing similar stuff, so we just focus on our own pile of work. We handle different kinds of metal jobs depending on what’s needed that week. Sometimes people come by asking for specific parts, other times we are just working through a big order for a regular client. We aren’t really fancy people. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every single day. If you walk past our spot in the industrial estate, you’ll see the piles of scrap and the finished goods ready to go. It’s just how we live. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. Just the workspace and the tools we use to get the job done. It’s been a long journey from when we first opened the doors here, but the metal keeps us busy and the bills paid.
