Rainbow Academy

Rainbow Academy is situated on Prasanna Vinayagar Kovil Street in Palayamkottai. We are right behind the VOC Ground, which is a big landmark in Tirunelveli. You can hear the sounds from the ground during the day, especially when there is a match or someone is practicing sports. The street itself has a temple on it, so it feels very traditional and calm. Our building is number 3, and it is a straightforward place with a couple of classrooms. We did not do much to the exterior, so it just looks like another building on the street. Inside, we have what we need for the lessons. It is mostly students from the local schools who come by after their classes are over. We spend a lot of time on the basics. Sometimes we sit on the porch if it is a nice evening and talk to the parents who are waiting to pick up their children. It is a very community-focused kind of place. We do not use any fancy technology, just books and paper and regular teaching. The pace of life here in Palayamkottai is a bit slower, and we like that. We know the local shopkeepers and the people who live next door. It is just a small academy doing its thing day by day. We do not have big goals of expanding; we just like helping the kids who live around the VOC Ground area.
