Larsen & Toubro (L&T)

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has a setup here in Kudankulam. We are located in the Taluka Radha Puran district. It is quite a remote area compared to the big cities where you usually find our name. Working out here means dealing with a lot of dust and heat. We are involved in the big projects going on in this region. There is a lot of heavy machinery and construction activity all the time. Our office on site is pretty basic, just a place for the engineers and workers to gather and look at plans. We don't have the fancy glass buildings you see in Mumbai or Chennai. It is more about boots on the ground here. We live and work in the local area, so we have become part of the community in a way. The days are long and the work is often physically demanding. We don't spend much time on talk. We just get the steel and concrete where it needs to go. It is a big operation, but on a daily basis, it is just about solving the problem in front of us. The wind from the coast can be strong, but we just keep the site moving. It is a practical, hard-working environment without any of the corporate fluff you might expect. We just get the job done and prepare for whatever comes next on the schedule.
