Shama Exports

You will find us at No. 37-38 in Cauvery Nagar. We are located in Srirangam on Amma Mandabam Road. This is a very busy part of town because it is a main way for people going to the river or the big temple. You can always hear the sounds of horns and people talking outside. Our office is in an older building with high ceilings and thick walls that help keep the afternoon heat out. We have a couple of rooms where we do all our work. One room is full of boxes and packing materials because we do a lot of exporting. The other room has our desks and a few chairs for when visitors stop by to talk. We have lived in Srirangam for a long time, so we are used to the rhythm and the noise of the town. Sometimes the monkeys from the temple area come near the windows, so we have to keep the screens closed tight. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is just a few of us handling the orders and making sure everything gets shipped out correctly. We usually have some tea or coffee ready, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed most days. We know our neighbors well and often stop to chat with them on the sidewalk. It is a practical, local business. We don't spend time on promotional stuff; we just focus on the daily work of getting things from here to where they need to go.
