Balu Industries

Balu Industries is down on East Street in Southvallur. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the big city industrial zones. We’ve been at 11/3 for a good while now. Our work is pretty straightforward. We make various parts and do some assembly work when people need it. It’s a local operation, so we know most of our customers by name. They drop by, have a quick chat about the crops or the local news, and then we get down to business. The shop floor is where I spend most of my time. I’d rather be fixing a machine than sitting at a desk doing paperwork. My hands are usually stained with grease, but that's part of the job. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. If someone needs something made, they usually hear about us from their neighbor or someone else in the village. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have seen better days, but they still get the job done right. The weather around Southvallur can be unpredictable, so we’ve had to fix the roof a few times after heavy rains. It’s just a normal life, really. We open up early, do the work, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s not complicated, and we like it that way. Just people making things for other people.
