Santosh Agri

Our place is at 739, Thuraiyur Road, over in Ganesapuram, Kamaraj Nagar. Being out on the road like this means we see a lot of farmers and people from the surrounding villages. Santosh Agri is mostly about providing the things people need for their land. We stock seeds, some tools, and other supplies that come in handy during the planting season. The shop gets very busy when the rains are about to start. Everyone is in a hurry then. We spend a lot of time loading bags into the back of tractors or small vans. It’s dusty work, especially in the dry months when the wind picks up off Thuraiyur Road. We have a small desk where we keep the accounts, but mostly we are out on the floor or in the shed. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the people who stop by. We talk about the weather and how the crops are doing while we weigh out what they need. It’s not a high-tech operation. We just use what we know and try to be helpful. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery from the city. That’s just part of the routine. We like the pace of life here in Kamaraj Nagar. It is a simple way of living and working.
