N R Ias Academy is tucked away at 13 / B, right behind the Sarathambal Temple. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, which is good because the students who come here really need to focus on their books and notes. Being behind the temple gives the place a bit of a calm feeling, even when the streets further out are noisy and crowded. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of papers and people studying hard for their exams. It’s not a fancy school with big glass walls or air conditioning in every corner. It’s just a simple building where people come to learn and prepare for their future careers. We started this because we wanted a place where folks could sit down and really get into their work without many distractions. There’s a lot of reading and writing going on here from early morning until late at night. Sometimes you can hear the temple bells in the background, which is a nice break from the silence inside the rooms. We don’t go in for big marketing campaigns or flashy signs on the main road. Most people find out about us from their friends or just by walking past the temple. It’s a serious environment, but we try to keep it friendly enough so no one feels too overwhelmed by the pressure. We just provide the space and the materials, and the students do the rest of the work. It’s been our home for quite a while.
