Universal Impex

Universal Impex is based out of Kovandakurichy Post. We are right on Anthoniyar Kovil Street at number 3/349. It’s a simple building with a flat roof. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The street is mostly residential but we have our little setup right in the middle of it. We spend most of our time sorting through packages and talking to truck drivers. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it. The neighbors are nice and they don't complain about the noise when we are loading things up. We keep a few chairs out front for when we need a break. The ceiling fan in the main room makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. We don't have a big team, just a couple of guys from the neighborhood who help out when things get busy. Usually, it's just me and the paperwork. We use a lot of tape and brown paper. The rainy season makes the street a bit muddy, so we have to be careful not to get the boxes dirty. It’s a practical way to make a living. We don't have any big goals of expanding or anything, we just want to do the job right today. Sometimes the street dogs come in to sleep in the shade of our porch. We let them be as long as they don't trip us up when we carry stuff. It's a quiet enough existence.
