Gurus

We run Gurus from a small office at 34, Thilagar Street, specifically on the 11th Cross in Kumaran Nagar. It is a residential area mostly, so it is relatively quiet compared to the main market roads. We do export and import, which sounds much more exciting than it actually is on a daily basis. Mostly, we are sitting at our desks surrounded by stacks of invoices and shipping documents. There is a small window that looks out onto the street where we can see the neighbors going about their day. We have been here for a few years now and have gotten to know the rhythm of the street. The delivery bikes come by often, and sometimes the courier guy stops for a quick glass of water. Our office is just a couple of rooms with some basic furniture and a few filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone comes to see us, they just walk right in. It is a simple setup because we don't see the point in spending money on fancy things we don't need. Most of our work is done over the phone or through the computer anyway. In the evenings, the street gets a bit busier with kids playing, and that is usually when we start wrapping things up for the day. It is just a small local business trying to keep things moving. We do our best.
