Our place is located at Subramania Arcade, right across from the Cheerakuzhy Temple in Amalanagar. It is a pretty easy spot to find if you are looking for the temple landmarks. We have the restaurant and the hotel rooms all in the same area. It gets quite lively here, especially during the temple festivals or on weekends when families are out together. We aren’t trying to be a five-star luxury spot with gold handles on the doors or anything like that. We just want to serve some good food and give people a comfortable bed to sleep in. The building, IV/510 D, is where we spend most of our waking hours. Whether it is prep work in the kitchen early in the morning or checking the laundry for the rooms, there is always a long list of things to get done. Some days are faster than others, depending on how many people show up. We don't have a big corporate board making decisions for us. It is just us seeing what needs to be fixed or what needs to be cooked for the day. We get a lot of locals coming in, which is nice because we get to hear all the news from around the town. If you stop by, you will probably see us arguing about the kitchen supplies or where to put the new delivery of rice bags. It is a real business run by real people.
