Being based out of the Thelappilly Complex in Kokkunnu is alright for us since it is part of the Mookkannur area. Scilla Fine Foods India Private Limited is our small company, and we occupy space Iv/38F. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the big cities, but we stay busy with our food work. The building itself is pretty recognizable to anyone living around here. Most of our staff comes from the nearby villages. We spend a lot of time checking the items we make. It isn't a high-tech lab or anything, just a practical workspace where we follow the steps we've learned over the years. We ended up doing this here because we live nearby. The work is physical and can be tiring, but it feels good to see the finished products leaving the complex. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a big website. Most of what we do is just handled between us and the people we supply. When the monsoon hits, the area around Mookkannur gets really green, though it makes deliveries a bit slower on the narrow roads. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It is a straightforward life here. We don't try to be something we aren't, just a local food business trying to keep things moving along. There is always some cleaning to do at the end of the shift, and we usually walk home together once the gates are locked up.
