Mint Malabari Hotel&Resturant Thrissur

Jerin Johny here, and I run the Mint Malabari Hotel & Resturant from our place, the Kannanaikkal House. We are located on Mudappilavu Temple Road in Chiyyaram, which is a busy little part of Thrissur. If you’re looking for us, just head towards the temple and you’ll find us easily enough. The pin code is 680026. The restaurant is really the heart of what we do. It always smells like spices and fresh rice. We aren't a big chain with a fancy manual on how to talk to customers. We just serve the food we know how to make and hope people like it. The building is a bit old, and the floors have some scuffs from all the people walking in and out, but it’s clean and it’s ours. We have a lot of regulars who come in every day for their lunch or a tea in the afternoon. It gets very loud during the festival season because the temple is so close. We stay busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery doesn’t show up on time, but we manage. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and it feels that way. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors, turn on the stove, and get to work. It’s a good life here in Thrissur, even if it’s a lot of hard work. We serve the locals and the travelers too and that keeps us going.
