Malayalam Food Product

Thrissur is a busy place, but Edathrinji feels a bit different. We are situated right by the mosque and the post office. It’s a convenient spot for us at Malayalam Food Product. Most mornings start with the sound of the birds and then the noise of the workers arriving. We have been in this spot for a while now. The floors are concrete and we keep them as clean as possible, which is hard with food items everywhere. It is humid here in Kerala, so we have to be careful with how things are stored. My cousins work here too. We drink a lot of tea while we check the bags. The mosque nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to get our work done so we can go home to our families in the evening. The local tea shop is where we usually spend our breaks talking about the weather or the local news. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s not a corporate life, it’s just our life. We do what we can with the tools we have and try to keep things moving along steadily every single day.
