Kollara Rice

Kollara Rice is located right on Nadathara Road in Eravimangalam. You can find us at number 74. We spend our days around rice sacks and the smell of grain. It’s been our livelihood for a good while. The road outside can get pretty busy with people traveling between towns, so we see a lot of traffic passing by. We don’t do much to draw attention to ourselves. People who live around Eravimangalam know we’re here if they need rice. It’s a straightforward business. We get the stock in, we sort it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. The building is sturdy and old, which is fine for storing heavy bags of rice. We have a few regulars who have been coming to us for years. They like that they can just pull up and get what they need without any fuss. Sometimes we run out of a certain type, and we have to wait for the next delivery, but that’s just life. We don’t have a big fancy storefront with lights. It’s just a place where work gets done. My family and I spend most of our time here. It’s a bit of a dusty job, but it’s what we know. We just try to be fair and keep the doors open every day. It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
