Guru Deva Bricks Making Factory

We run the Guru Deva Bricks Making Factory out of Pallithara House in Koratty, specifically in the Cheru Valoor area. It’s a family-run sort of thing, and we’ve been in this exact location for quite a long time now. The surroundings are very green and lush, which is nice to look at, but the humidity can make the brick-making process a bit slow and difficult sometimes. We have to be very careful with the drying times so the bricks don't crack. Most of our days are spent out in the yard, checking on the wooden moulds and making sure the workers have what they need to stay busy. It’s a relatively small operation, so everyone knows everyone else by name. We don't have a big neon sign or a fancy gate, just the work going on every day from dawn. People from around Cheru Valoor usually just drop by whenever they need something for a backyard project or a small renovation. We sit on the porch of the house sometimes to handle the paperwork when the afternoon sun gets too strong to be outside. It’s not like a regular office job where you wear a tie. Your hands stay dirty and you're always checking the sky for any sign of rain clouds. We keep things simple and don't try to overcomplicate the way we make our bricks. We are just down the road from the village center and everyone knows us.
