G L Construction

Down at 5K in Mundathicode, you’ll find us at G L Construction. It’s not a huge operation, just a local outfit doing what we know how to do. We’ve been around this part of town long enough that most the neighbors recognize the trucks. Construction is a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, but it’s what pays the bills. We mostly take on jobs around here, keeping things close to home. Sometimes it’s a new wall, sometimes it’s something bigger, but it all starts with just showing up. The yard gets a bit messy with materials sometimes, but that’s part of the trade. We don’t spend much time sitting behind a desk. Most of the day is spent out on site or moving supplies around. Mundathicode is a decent place to be based. It’s quiet enough but easy to get where we need to go. We’ve had the same crew for a bit, which helps things run a little smoother. It’s not always easy work, and some days are definitely harder than others when things don't go exactly as planned. But we just keep at it. If you walk by, you might see us sorting through timber or loading up the van. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep steady. It's a simple life really, just building things and making sure the roof stays on for people.
