A L Ameer Springs is located at 21, 2nd Street in Vadookara. If you come down this street, you will find us easily. It is an industrial kind of area, so there is always the sound of metal and tools. We work with springs, which means things are often oily and messy. Our hands are rarely clean by lunch time. The shop is filled with different types of wire and coils. We have some old machines that have been with us for years. They make a lot of noise, but they still work fine if you know how to handle them. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes in, they just walk up to the workbench. We like it that way because it is direct. Vadookara is a place where people work hard, and we fit right in. The 2nd Street can get pretty cramped when people park their trucks, but we make do. We spend most of our time measuring things and making sure the tension is right on whatever we are making. It takes a bit of patience and a lot of physical effort. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just the one that does the work right. When the day is over, we shut the shutters and head home, just like everyone else on the block. It is a loud, greasy job but we enjoy it.
