Ajil Rice Shop

Ajil Rice Shop is right on the Kodungallur Road in Irinjalakuda. It is a busy spot with lots of vehicles going past. We deal in different types of rice. The shop is small and usually has bags piled up near the entrance. I have been running this place for some time now. It is a family thing, really. We open early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. Irinjalakuda is a nice town and we know most of the people who come in. We don't do any delivery, people just come and pick up what they want. The floor is concrete and we have to keep it dry because of the rice. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the name Ajil Rice Shop on the front. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the evenings. We just use a basic calculator and a notebook to keep track of sales. It is not complicated. The road is always loud, but you get used to the sound of the buses. We are just here to sell rice to the local families. It is a steady job and we like the routine of it. If you are on Kodungallur Road, you will see us easily. We are usually here until the sun goes down and then we head home.
