Our main base is at Kottapurath House, which is located in the Pulakode area near Chelakara in the Thrissur district. It is quite a different environment than the dry, industrial zones in the north. Since we are in Kerala, everything is very green and the pace of life feels a bit slower than in the big cities. We manage the Aditya Cement business from this house, which serves as our main point of contact for the whole area. It is just a regular house, not a big office block with elevators. We spend our time talking to local builders and making sure the supply of cement stays steady throughout the district. The rain is a huge factor for us here, especially during the long monsoon months, and it can really mess up the delivery schedules. We have to be very careful with how we plan the transport when the roads get muddy. There are no big neon signs or flashy advertisements here. Most people find us because they know the house or they have worked with us for years. We sit in our small office area, go through the hand-written registers, and talk to whoever stops by for a chat or some business. It is a very simple and direct way of doing things. We do not have formal rules about how we talk. We just treat people like neighbors and try to keep the business moving along.
