Phillips Foods India

Phillips Foods India is based out of C75/76 in the Sipcot Industrial Complex over in Madathoor P.O. It’s a pretty busy industrial area, and our unit is just one of many, but we’ve been here long enough that we have our own way of doing things. The daily routine starts pretty early when the first trucks arrive at the gate. We spend most of our time inside the facility, making sure all the food products are being handled right and getting everything ready for the next shipment. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people wearing suits; we’re all in our work clothes, getting things done on the floor. The machinery can be loud, so we’ve all learned to talk a bit louder to be heard over the hum. We don't really go in for big meetings or long-term strategy sessions; we just look at what needs to be shipped today and we make sure it happens. The building itself is big and open, which helps keep it from getting too stuffy during the hotter months of the year. We have a good crew of local people who know the business well and don't need much looking after. It’s a straightforward operation where everyone knows their job. We don't spend a dime on marketing because we’ve already got plenty to keep us busy just by doing what we do every day. It’s just a regular food processing unit in a regular industrial park, and that suits us just fine.
