We are located out in the Sipcot Industrial Complex, specifically at units C 75 and 76. It is a big area and it can get quite hot in the afternoons here in Madathoor. Phillips Foods India Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this site for a while now. It is mostly about the machinery and the production lines for us. You won't find many people in suits around here; we are usually in our work clothes and moving things around. The trucks come in early in the morning and leave late at night. There is a lot of noise from the cooling units and the processing equipment, but you get used to it after a week or so on the job. We have a lot of local people working here from the nearby villages. It is a long day, starting before the sun gets too high in the sky. We take our breaks together in the canteen. It is simple food and good talk. We do not have a big marketing department or anything like that. Our focus is just on making sure the food is handled right and the boxes are packed. The industrial estate is a bit out of the way, so we mostly stick to ourselves. Every now and then, the power goes out, and we have to switch over to the generators to keep things running. It is just how things are in this part of the country. We keep the place clean as much as we can. It is honest, hard work every day.
