Our place is over in Paruthicherry, near Tiruturaipundi. It’s at number 89. We’ve been operating here for a good bit now. It is mostly a local operation. We get the raw materials brought in and then we get to work. It’s a lot of physical labor, stacking and moving things around the yard. The area is quiet mostly, except when the trucks are loading up. We don’t have a fancy website or anything. If someone needs bricks, they usually just come down to the site and talk to us directly. We try to keep enough stock on hand, but during the building season, things go out as fast as we can make them. My hands are usually covered in dust by the end of the shift. That is just how it is. We see a lot of the same faces coming back when they start a new project. Tiruturaipundi is a decent place to be based. The sun can be quite strong in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. It is a straightforward business. We make the bricks, we stack them, and people buy them. There isn't much more to it than that. We just focus on keeping the quality consistent so the walls stay up. It keeps us fed and busy. At number 89, we have a pretty large space but it always seems to be full of something. We spend a lot of time just moving piles from one side to the other to make room for new batches. The workers from around here are hardworking folks who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
