Kathir Export Import

Kathir Export Import is situated at 151 Second Street in Chidambaram Nagar. It’s a standard street in a residential area, so it doesn't feel like a big industrial zone. We like it that way because it’s a bit quieter. Our office is just one of those places where the desks are covered in notebooks, pens, and old files. We spend a lot of time on the phone, as you can imagine. Dealing with export and import means we have to stay on top of a lot of different moving parts at once. It can get a bit messy if we aren't careful, so we try to keep our files organized, though it doesn't always stay that way for long. Chidambaram Nagar is a nice spot, and we usually walk down the road to get our tea in the afternoon from the little shop on the corner. We don’t have any corporate slogans or big fancy presentations for visitors. We just tell people what we can do and then we go ahead and do it. Most of our days are filled with checking schedules and making sure the local transport is on its way to the warehouse. It’s a small operation, just a few of us working together to get things moved. We don't really have a boss who sits in a separate office; we’re all in the same room. It makes it easier to shout across the room when we have a question about an order.
