Ufk Film Kingdom Direction & Actingacademy Private Limited is down in Varkala, specifically at TC 13/284 in Krishnacherukunnam. It’s a bit away from the main tourist spots, which is nice because it’s quieter for filming and practicing scenes. We have a modest space here where we work on acting and how to handle a camera. It is not a big Hollywood studio, just some rooms we’ve put together to make things happen. Most days involve someone practicing their lines or a group of us talking about how to frame a shot. Varkala has a good vibe for this kind of thing. We started this because we all liked movies and wanted a place to actually learn the craft without going to a big, expensive city. The building is just a regular spot, nothing that stands out too much from the outside. Inside, it’s a different story with all the scripts and gear lying around. We aren't corporate at all; we’re just a bunch of people who enjoy the process of making stories come to life. Sometimes we are out in the local area shooting small clips or just testing out the light. It is a lot of trial and error here. We don't promise anyone they will be a star, we just show them how the work actually gets done. It is a practical way to learn the film business right here in our own neighborhood.
