JJ Cement Works

We have been running JJ Cement Works here in Karkkonam for a while now. Our place is right on CSI Medical College Road, just across from Triveni Hospital. Most days are busy with loading and unloading. People from Thiruvananthapuram come by when they are building something new or just fixing a wall. It’s a dusty job but someone has to do it. The shop isn't fancy at all. We just keep the bags stacked and try to keep things moving. Sometimes the rain makes it tricky with the cement, so we have to be really careful about storage. Usually, you’ll find us out front talking to the drivers or checking the stock levels. We’ve seen this area change a bit over the years. Being near the hospital means there’s always traffic, which can be a real headache for the trucks getting in and out. It’s just a small team here. We handle the orders as they come. No big speeches or anything, just keeping the inventory ready for whoever needs it. If you are heading down this road, you can’t really miss us. We stay open pretty regular hours. It’s honest work and we’ve gotten used to the routine of it all. Dealing with cement means your clothes are never really clean, but that's just how it goes in this business. We just focus on getting the supplies to the sites around Karkkonam without too much fuss.
