Ananthapuri Building Materials

You can find us at No- 14/601 in the St. Andrews area. It’s a decent spot for a building material yard. We have plenty of piles of sand and stones sitting out front. Most of the day is spent loading up small pick-up trucks for local jobs. It’s dusty work and by the end of the day, our clothes are usually a different color. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone needs bricks or cement, they just pull up and we get to work. The area around St. Andrews is relatively quiet, which makes it easier for the bigger trucks to back in. We’ve got some old equipment that makes a lot of noise, but it gets the job done. Sometimes people come in asking for advice on how much they need, and we do our best to guess based on what they tell us. It’s not an exact science. We have a small roof over the cement so it doesn’t get ruined when it pours. The yard can get a bit muddy after a storm, but that’s just part of the job. We enjoy the work even if it is physically demanding. It feels good to see the materials leave and become part of a new house nearby. We are just here to help the neighborhood build itself up.
