Earnest School

Earnest School is found at TC 55/2131 on Viswambharan Road, specifically the second right turn in the Pappanamkode area of Thiruvananthapuram. We are tucked into a side street, which helps a bit with the noise from the main roads. The school is a straightforward building where we have been operating for some time. We don't put on any airs here; it is just a place for students to come and learn their lessons. Our staff consists of people who live nearby and have been working in education for years. Every morning, the street gets a bit busy with students arriving, but it settles down once the first bell rings. We have several classrooms and the usual offices for the administration. There is always a list of chores to do, from cleaning the floors to making sure the drinking water is topped up. We don't have a lot of extra staff, so everyone chips in where they can. Sometimes that means a teacher helps move benches or the office person helps out during the lunch break. The weather in Thiruvananthapuram can be quite humid, so we try to keep the rooms well-ventilated with the fans we have. It is a basic, honest way to run a school. We focus on the curriculum and making sure the day goes by without too many hiccups. Most of the families in the Pappanamkode area know us by now. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood.
