Deep Blue Marine International Llp is run from Smitha Cottage in Mundakkal. We are located in the Murukkumpuzha area, which falls under Veiloor. It’s a bit of a different setup since we operate out of a cottage rather than a standard office block, but it suits the marine business quite well. Being near the water is important for us, and the atmosphere in Murukkumpuzha is exactly what we need. We handle international marine dealings, which sounds quite grand, but the reality is just a few of us sitting around a table with our laptops and phones. There is a lot of waiting for ships and checking on cargo, so we drink a lot of tea while we wait for updates. The cottage is surrounded by a bit of greenery, and it’s a lot nicer than being stuck in a city center. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team to polish our image. We just tell people we’re at Smitha Cottage and they can come find us if they need to discuss business. It’s a low-key operation where we value getting the job done correctly over looking fancy. The local roads can be a bit narrow, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the marine work and try to keep everything running smoothly from our little corner of Veiloor. It’s a steady life and we’re happy with it.
