Dakshineshwari Tractors

If you head over to Nelluvila in Parottukonam, near Nalanchira P.O., you will find us at Dakshineshwari Tractors. It is a busy spot, mostly because tractors and heavy machinery take up a lot of room. Our yard is usually full of equipment in various states of repair or ready to be moved to a new site. It’s a greasy, hands-on kind of place, which is exactly how we like it. We spend most of our time out in the sun or under the hood of a machine trying to figure things out. The office is just a small room at the front where we keep the keys and some old ledgers for the business. It is often a bit messy with spare parts or old manuals lying around, but we know where everything is when we need it. People from the surrounding areas know they can find us here if they need something sorted out with their equipment or if they are looking for parts. We don't do much in the way of advertising; usually, people just see the signs or hear about us through word of mouth from other farmers. The weather can be a bit of a problem when it rains heavily, as the yard gets muddy and difficult to work in, but we just put on our boots and keep going. It’s hard work, and your hands never really stay clean for long, but there is a satisfaction in seeing a machine roll out again.
