Centre For Maths

The Centre For Maths is tucked away on Sreemoolam Road, which is TC 25/1807 if you're looking for the exact number. We are in the Mele Thampanoor area, quite close to the GPO and the main bus station. Being in 695001 means there’s always a lot of hustle and bustle outside. You can hear the buses and the people rushing to catch their trains. Our building is a bit older, and the rooms aren't huge, but they are just right for a math class. We have enough boards and chalk to go around. Thampanoor is the heart of Trivandrum, so everyone passes through here at some point. It’s not the quietest place in the world, but it’s easy for students to reach from anywhere in the city. We don't have any of those modern glass walls or air-conditioned waiting rooms. It’s just a simple place with some fans and a lot of notebooks. Sometimes the Sreemoolam road gets a bit crowded with parked scooters, so you have to find a spot a little further down. We spend our days mostly scribbling numbers and trying to explain things to whoever walks in. It’s a very basic operation we’ve got going here, focused entirely on the math work and not on how the office looks to outsiders. If you walk past the GPO, you are almost at our doorstep. We have been here for years, just doing what we do best without much change.
