Asr Food Product

At Asr Food Product, our work day starts before the sun is really up. We are right over at Marapalam on Cutchery St. You can usually find us busy in the back room. Making food takes a lot of time and quite a bit of patience. It is not just about mixing things together and hoping for the best. We have to watch the heat and make sure all the proportions are okay. The kitchen area is where we spend almost all our hours. It smells like whatever we are cooking that day. Sometimes the air is sweet and other times it is very spicy. Cutchery St is an active place so there is always some noise coming from outside. We just keep our heads down and do the work. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us making sure the bags are filled and sealed properly before they go out. People around Marapalam stop by sometimes to see what is fresh. We try to keep the place clean but it is a working kitchen, so there is always a bit of a mess during the rush. We use simple tools and follow the steps we have always used. It is a small operation. We do not try to be something we are not. We just want to make decent food products that people can use at home. That is the whole story of this place.
