The Pantry

You can find The Pantry on the road that goes between Kumarapuram and the Medical College. Our address is Tc 1/1624. Being so close to the Medical College means we see a lot of people who are in a hurry or maybe having a long day. We started this place as a simple spot to grab something to eat without any fuss. The road outside is usually busy with ambulances and buses, so inside we try to keep things a bit more grounded. It’s not a big space, but we use every corner of it. We spend our mornings getting the stock in and making sure everything is ready before the lunch rush starts. The weather here in Thiruvananthapuram can get pretty humid, so we keep the fans going. We don’t have a corporate office or a marketing department. It’s just us here, working the counter and the kitchen. We’ve had the same regulars for years who come in for their usual. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. We aren't trying to win any awards. We just want to make sure that when someone walks in from that busy road, they get a decent meal and a bit of a break. That is pretty much the whole story of our little place near the hospital. We just keep the coffee brewing and the snacks ready for whoever walks through the door next.
