Royal Coffee Works

We are located right on the Main Road, near S. H. Mount Po. You can usually tell where Royal Coffee Works is just by the smell of the beans roasting. It is a strong scent that fills the whole building and even drifts out onto the road. We have been here for a long time, and the building is getting a bit old, but it still works for us. The machines are pretty loud when they are running, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. It’s a busy spot being on the Main Road, and we see a lot of people passing by all day long. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Most of the work involves moving heavy sacks around and making sure the grinders are set right. It is a messy job sometimes, and we all end up with coffee dust on our clothes by the end of the shift. S. H. Mount is a good area to be in, and we know most of the shop owners nearby. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around, but we always make sure there is a fresh pot for us to drink during the break. It is just us and the coffee, day in and day out. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is, it is just what we do.
