Kushal Tea Co.

Kushal Tea Co. is tucked away at 5 Stream Side, right off Mount Road. It is a bit of an unusual spot because you have the busy main road nearby, but our little corner is surprisingly quiet. We have been dealing in tea from this location for quite a while. The building is a bit tucked back, so you have to look for it. Inside, it always smells like dried leaves and burlap bags. We get shipments in from the gardens, and we spend a lot of time sorting through them. It is not a high-tech operation. We still use old scales and do a lot of things by hand. My desk is usually covered in sample tins and tasting cups. We do not have a fancy storefront with displays. It is more of a warehouse and a small workspace where we do our blending. Sometimes the humidity makes things difficult, so we have to be careful with how we store everything. The staff here is just a few people who have a good nose for tea. We are not interested in being a big brand that you see in every supermarket. We prefer to sell to the people who know us and have been coming here for years. It is a slow business, and you can not really rush it. We just take our time and make sure each batch is what it should be before it goes out the door.
