Westernoutdoor Tensile Structures

We are based out of Western Outdoor Harinivas in the Thane area. It's a busy part of Mumbai to be in. We deal with tensile structures, which basically means we work on things like big outdoor covers and roofs. It’s a lot of heavy material and cables. The office gets a bit dusty because we’re always moving samples around. We’ve got rolls of fabric and metal bits sitting in the corners. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and figuring out how things will fit together outside. Sometimes the weather makes the work hard, especially when it's raining cats and dogs during the monsoon. We just keep at it though. People want shade or a roof for their parking or a garden, and we try to figure out the best way to put it up. It’s physical work and requires some thinking. We don’t have a fancy reception area. Usually, you’ll just find one of us at a desk with a cup of tea, looking at a blueprint or a photo on a phone. We’ve been doing this in Thane for a good while. The neighbors know us. It’s a straightforward business. We make sure the structures are sturdy and the fabric is pulled tight. That’s the main thing. Just everyday work in the city. We try to keep the tools organized, but they always end up scattered by noon.
