Our office is located at 02 Nilgiri in Sector 7, part of Shreenagar in the Wagle Estate area of Thane West. Being in Wagle Estate means we are right in the heart of one of Thane’s busiest industrial and commercial zones. It’s a great spot for an engineering outfit like Jacobs Engineering India Pvt Ltd because there’s always something happening nearby. The Nilgiri building isn't a modern skyscraper, but it’s sturdy and gives us the space we need to spread out our blueprints and set up our workstations. We have a mix of junior and senior staff here, all working on different technical problems throughout the day. The office vibe is pretty casual; we don't wear suits or use a lot of corporate jargon. We just talk about the projects in plain English and try to solve whatever issues pop up. Sometimes the power flickers or the internet slows down, but we just work around it. There’s a lot of focus on the small details that make an engineering project work, and we spend hours checking and re-checking our figures. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some tea bags in the corner. It’s a place for people who actually like the technical side of engineering and don't care much for the polished corporate world. We show up, we do the work, and we head home through the Thane traffic at the end of the day.
