Jacobs Engineering

Our office for Jacobs Engineering is tucked away in the Shree Sai Mauli society in Kalwa. If you know Thane, you know how Gaon Devi Road can get during the rush hours. We are on the West side, so it’s a bit of a commute for some of us who live further out. It’s a typical housing society setup. There are kids playing in the compound in the evenings and neighbors talking. We have a small sign, but it’s not very big and people sometimes walk right past it. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and old chairs. We do our engineering work here, mostly focusing on the technical side of things without much fuss or noise. It isn't a corporate park with elevators and security guards checking your ID every five minutes. You just walk in. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or talk about the projects. We've got a small window that looks out onto the street. It’s helpful to see what’s happening outside when things get quiet. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We usually eat lunch together at one of the small tables in the corner. It feels more like a home than an office most of the time. Being in Kalwa keeps us close to the local suppliers we use. It’s a basic place, but we get the job done.
