You’ll find our shop, number 57, inside the Panchal Nagar Cooperative Housing Society. We are right across from the Kt Region Threater in Vasai West. It’s a great landmark because everyone knows the theater. We’ve been running this enterprise for a long time now. We sell various household items and small supplies that people in the society need. It’s a small space, so we have to stack things all the way up to the ceiling to fit everything in. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but we usually know where it is. It’s a busy neighborhood with kids playing around and people going to catch a movie across the street. We don't have a big staff, just me and a helper who comes in the afternoons. We open early in the morning and stay open until late at night because that’s when people come home from work. It’s a simple life running a shop in Vasai. We know most of our customers by their names since they live right here in the same building or the ones next door. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. Just a regular shop doing its thing every day. When it’s quiet, we sit on the stools outside and watch the traffic go by. It’s not a complicated business, just buying things and selling them to our neighbors. We’re happy being a small part of the local community here.
