If you walk into Parmila Estate and look for Gala No. 16, that’s where you’ll find us. We’ve been set up here on Choda Pooks Road No. 1 for quite some time. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s always the sound of machinery and the smell of grease in the air. We spend most of our days working on different engineering bits and pieces. Some of the machines we use have been with us since the start and they still run better than the new ones sometimes. It gets pretty hot in the gala during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday and someone has to sweep up before we go home. It’s hard work and your hands are never really clean, but it’s what we know. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. If someone comes by, they usually just walk right into the work area and find us. We handle a lot of different jobs, some small repairs and some bigger fabrication work. It's mostly about getting the measurements right and making sure things fit together like they should. We’ve seen other shops come and go in this estate, but we’ve managed to stay put by just doing what we do every day.
