Chirlekar Masala

Chirlekar Masala is right here in Chirner, just a stone's throw from the Nalati rice mill at Plot No. 410. Most days, the air around here is thick with the smell of drying chilies and turmeric. It’s a busy spot, especially with the tractors moving in and out of the mill area nearby. My family has lived in Uran for ages, so setting this up here felt right. We spend a lot of time cleaning seeds and checking the spice bags before they go out. It isn't a fancy setup with glass windows and receptionists. It’s just us, some heavy machinery, and plenty of burlap sacks piled up in the corner. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, and we have to stop and sweep just to see the floor again. The Raigad sun can be brutal in the afternoon, making the shed quite hot, but we keep the fans going and get through the orders. Folks from the village often stop by for a chat while they’re waiting for their rice to get processed next door. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's mostly just word of mouth from people who’ve used our stuff for their daily cooking. We just focus on making sure the grinding is done properly so the flavor stays in. It’s honest work, and even though the days are long, seeing the finished packets ready to go makes it worth the effort.
