Swaraashi Dental Clinic

Swaraashi Dental Clinic is tucked into the Priyadarshini Apartment building in Naupada, Thane West. We’re right near A.K. Joshi English High School, so we hear the school bell ring every day. It’s a small dental office. We have the usual chair and the bright light that everyone hates, but we try to be gentle. I’ve been a dentist here for a while, and I’ve seen some of these kids grow up and bring their own children in. The walls are painted a light blue, but there’s a mark near the door from where a delivery guy hit it with a box. I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. We don't have a big fancy lobby with coffee machines. Just some chairs and a water cooler. People in Naupada are mostly busy, so they want to get their fillings or cleanings done and get back to work. I usually have a chat with Mrs. Gupta from the flat upstairs when she passes by. It’s a very local feel here. Sometimes the drill makes that high-pitched noise that makes people nervous, so I try to talk about the weather or local news to distract them. We aren't trying to be the biggest clinic in Thane. We’re just a neighborhood spot where you can get your teeth looked at without a lot of drama. I usually keep a few spare toothbrushes in the drawer to give out. It’s just us doing our best every day.
