You can find Sakshi Nursery and Pre Primary School at the Madhav Shristi complex, specifically in Block A2, Shops 6, 7, and 8. We are over in the Godrej Hill area of Khadakpada in Kalyan. It is a busy residential neighborhood with lots of families. Using shop spaces for a school might seem odd to some people, but it works well for us. We have three interconnected units where the children spend their mornings. The floors are covered in thick foam mats to keep things safe when they fall. Outside, there is always the sound of traffic and people going to the markets. Inside, it is mostly kids singing rhymes or playing with puzzles. We do not have a big corporate board or a fancy head office. It is just us teachers and the helpers. We know all the kids by their nicknames. Kalyan can get very crowded, so being right here in the residential block makes it much easier for parents. They do not have to travel far to drop their little ones off before starting their day. The rooms can get a bit stuffy when it is humid, but we keep the fans on full blast to stay comfortable. We do not have a lot of high-tech toys, just the usual stuff like crayons and clay. It is a practical little school for the local families. Most of our new students come because their older siblings were here before.
