Aajol - Kids Care

If you go to the first floor of Nandasudama Apartment on Nandivali Road, you’ll find us there at room 101. Being in Dombivli East, we are right in the middle of a very busy residential area. Most of the parents who bring their kids to us are working in Thane or commuting to Mumbai, so we see people very early in the morning. Our space is basically an apartment that we’ve set up for kids to spend their day. It’s cozy because it’s a home environment, not a big cold institution. We have mats for napping and plenty of small tables for drawing and eating lunch. Because we are in an apartment building, we have to be mindful of the neighbors, so we try to keep the shouting to a minimum, though that’s hard with toddlers. We do a lot of storytelling and basic play. The staff here are locals who understand the pressure of living in a fast-paced place like Dombivli. We keep things simple. There’s a kitchen where we prep small snacks, and a bathroom that’s always being used. It’s a small, practical operation meant for families who need a reliable spot for their kids nearby. We aren't doing anything fancy, just taking care of the children while their parents are at work. The doorbell rings a lot, but that is just life on Nandivali Road.
